We follow the principle of data minimization and collect only what is essential for the app’s functionality:- Camera: Used solely for taking a real-time photo to set as your profile picture.
- Photo Library / Storage: To provide synchronization, we collect and store your To-Do lists (tasks, status), Anniversaries, and Reminders in a secure cloud database (Firebase).
- Notifications: Used for sending important alerts, such as anniversary reminders or task updates from your partner. We do not collect government IDs, financial information, precise geolocation, or contacts.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Under GDPR, we process your data based on:- Contractual Necessity: To provide core features including real-time sync, task sharing, and linking devices via pairing codes.
- Consent: For accessing your Camera (for profile photos), Photo Library (for profile photos and media sharing), and sending Push Notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time via your device settings.
- Legitimate Interests:: To analyze crash logs, monitor app performance, and ensure the security of your shared data.
How We Protect Your Data
- Synchronization: Real-time syncing of To-Do lists, task completion status, and anniversary dates between you and your paired partner via Firebase.
- Profile Personalization: Allowing you to capture or select a photo to personalize your user profile.
- Media Sharing & Storage: Enabling you to select images from your photo library to securely transmit and share them with your partner. These images are stored in our secure cloud database (Firebase) to enable synchronization across linked devices.
- Notifications: Alerting you and your partner about upcoming anniversaries or updates made to your shared lists.
- Maintenance & Security: Debugging, optimizing the user experience, and preventing unauthorized access to your private shared space.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
With Your Partner: Your To-Do lists, Anniversaries, Profile Pictures, and any Shared Images are explicitly synchronized and shared with the user you have linked via the unique 8-digit pairing code.- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (Google Firebase) to host, store, and synchronize your data. Firebase is bound by data processing agreements to protect your information and complies with international security standards.
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or shared media to third parties for marketing purposes, fully complying with CCPA “Do Not Sell” requirements.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose data only if required by a valid legal order (e.g., a subpoena) or to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Anonymous/Aggregated Data: We may use de-identified or aggregated technical data (such as crash frequency) to improve app performance, which cannot be used to identify you or your partner.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be stored on servers located outside of your home country (e.g., in the United States via Firebase). We ensure such transfers comply with legal frameworks like Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to maintain a high level of protection.Your Rights
